Description:

Humber’s Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) certificate program is designed to provide adults with intellectual disabilities (also known as developmental disabilities) the opportunity to experience post-secondary education life, develop enhanced independence and connect with like-minded individuals. Our program is the first post-secondary education program of its kind in Ontario and is a leader in building collaborative, inclusive communities that support and promote experiential and transformative learning. We want you to succeed, and we will help you to develop skills you can use at Humber, work, home and in the community.

Our goal is to give you opportunities to build your confidence, leadership skills and independence by getting involved with the Humber community while advocating for yourself in a supportive environment. We do this through positive role-modelling and by highlighting the unique value of each individual and the benefits that come from interacting and working with others.
